I’m way behind!! Where Bloggers Live

This was supposed to be published yesterday – but my brain isn’t working too great these days so I totally forgot.  Got an email from one of the group and was reminded to “get busy”.  Hopefully they’ll forgive me.

This month is – “My Favorite Things about Summer”.  That’s not difficult for me, because the older I get, the better I like warm weather.  (It’s June in Alabama and I’m still wearing sweaters.)

  • So, I like “Daylight Savings Time” (I hate changing).
  • I LOVE warm (hot) weather (Not crazy about cold).
  • I love watching all the birds, humming birds, and ‘critters’.
  • Seeing all the lovely flowers (not that I’m a decent gardener).

I’m sure there’s more – but that’s all I can think of right now.

Be sure to check out everyone else’s thoughts – I’m sure they’ll be better than mine.

Hi Iris: You and I like many of the same things about summer. I like weather that’s not too hot or too cold. I love seeing the birds and flowers of summer. I typically have a sweater on in the house because our house stays cooler year round. Plus the AC in the summer can get a little cool on my arms at times. I just got back from traveling to see family. I did all the driving myself which was tiring. I’m glad to be back home. Great to catch up with you!

Woo hoo!! Glad to read your post. I like all the same things about summer. Cannot understand why people complain about Daylight Savings Time. It is brilliant as far as I am concerned. Who doesn’t want a little more light at the end of the day? I love the warmer temps – I am always cold, too. Especially cold after dinner at night. Had a blanket around me even though it was 109* last night at 7 pm. The AC makes me cold. Brrrr. Wish I had more beautiful flowers and birds to enjoy but it is too hot. So… Read more »

There you are! I circled back and am happy to see you!
I am in for ALL those things, Iris!
So glad to see the sun again (who wants it dark at dinnertime)! I am all in for some warm weather, although my tolerance for anything over 75 degrees has definitely changed, haha. And I love hearing all the birds and just walking through garden centers to see all that beautiful color!

I hate the time change too. Honestly, I’m over it. And, like you, I wear sweaters in the summer. I have to do so or else I get chilly, because why does the AC have to be set on arctic?!

I’m glad someone enjoys the hot weather! I completely agree about looking at the gorgeous flowers and watching the various ‘critters’ going about their business. We’ve been lucky to have rabbits in our ‘yard’ (the area visible from our apartment balcony) again this year, and I never tire of watching them!
