Think I mentioned at some point that part of the original reason for this blog, was to talk about some of my cross stitch – and as it turns out I hardly ever mention it. However that’s changing – so I plan to post some cross stitch “stuff” on a regular basis – starting NOW!
The blog title today is a reminder to do just that. We get so VERY busy, we just don’t take time to smell the coffee. I’m no different – but I’m working on it.
So I designed this chart a number of years ago – but did I pay attention to what it says (well no!).
I will say that the time that I’m most relaxed is when I doing cross stitch – and I have a number of projects just waiting for me.
Saw this posted on facebook not too long ago and am about to design a cross stitch chart around it. Stitch it and hang it where I can see it all the time.
Stop the glorification of busy.
Busy, in and of itself, is not
A badge of honor.
It’s okay to not be busy.
Repeat with me:
IT’S OKAY TO NOT BE BUSY.
I love this idea Iris of chatting about your designs. And the not being busy? Gosh, I need to hear that daily. My husband has a good knack for it, but it’s not in my DNA to just sit around.
My knitting is probably like your cross stitching. That’s what I do when we sit down to watch tv and it’s relaxing for me.
XOXO

Do I have my full attention on the TV – well, probably not, but I can get the gist of whatever I’m watching and still be doing something with my hands. I’m still working on the idea – just did a devotional with one of my granddaughters about being busy. Interesting, but not sure I agree with all of the author’s ideas. I’m to the point that I truly believe God designed some of us to be busier than others.… Read more »
