In case you’re wondering from the title just what an “Angelito” is – well, it’s a stuffed bird. Hand made in El Salvador back in the 1980s (I don’t believe they’re still made, but you can find some of them around). There were a number of different birds – I have three.
I fell in love with them when we were in Panama. I brought home a cockatoo.
As you can see, he’s really quite handsome… and yellow 🙂 The fairy lights don’t seem to bother him at all.😊

These were expensive (at least to me) when we first got them – of course NOW “no one” would have these things in their home. Oh wait! I do – and I still love them. (Please don’t look for the dust – they are collectors).
So Chuck was in Panama for a little over 3 months, I was only there for a month. When he came home he brought me a gorgeous macaw and a toucan. The macaw occupies a perch near my entry way and portrait wall. Alas the toucan has been retired. He is black and has faded to an unpleasant gray. Sunshine was not kind to him.

There are still a few different ones I was able to find pictures of, though none as nice as mine 😍

There were smaller birds – like the ones we have here – but I loved the exotic ones. (Of course) More sweet memories when I see them.
