Just so you know – this post is aimed at ME. I know all this. I’ve known it for years – do I pay attention? Frequently not!
As many of you know I’ve been battling some health issues this year – and those can really get you down if you’re not careful. I’m tired and don’t feel good, so it’s easy to be grumpy and generally miserable. I don’t want to be miserable and grumpy – but it’s really up to ME!
Do I just lose it sometimes? Of course I do, but then I try to “Put on my big girl panties and deal with it”!
I can be mad, I can be sad, I can be….. Granted there are medical reasons we don’t always have control of our emotions/depression, etc. But generally our lives are all about choices. We choose to love, to hate, to be mad, to be hurt…. and on and on. Don’t let others control your emotions! I can only “get my feelings hurt” if I allow it. And, I choose to NOT allow it.
There are many verses in the Bible about Joy – one of my favorites is “Be Joyful in the Lord always. I will say again, be full of joy. Phil 4:4
I’m working on it!
This photo is one of my cross stitch designs – the finished model hangs in my living room just to remind me lest I relapse and forget.
Note: I’m really with it – there’s a pumpkin (fall decoration) in the picture 🍂 – AND the ever present elephant 😉🐘
Don’t be hard on yourself. When you don’t feel well, especially for a long period of time, it’s exhausting, annoying and frustrating. The people who love you will understand. And those who don’t? Who cares?!

Well you are right about one thing – it’s definitely exhausting, annoying and frustrating. Thanks for the encouraging words.
